The Philosophy Shop, a book produced by arc social enterprise the Philosophy Foundation, has won the Education Resources Award (ERA) for Educational Book of 2013.

Belu, a social enterprise and the UK’s most ethical water brand, donates 100% of profits to WaterAid to support clean water projects around the world.

Expand employee minds with the Philosophy Foundation

The Philosophy Foundation is now offering workplaces the chance to stretch and challenge employees’ minds through philosophy workshops that will support the organisation’s work in schools.

The workshops are designed to encourage staff development in critical and independent thinking, whilst forming an atmosphere of collaboration and creative thinking. The courses or sessions are adapted to company needs, with bespoke discussions built around skill development and topics chosen by the client.

GetMoreBikes to launch new training centre and workshop

GetMoreBikes, an arc supported social enterprise, will officially launch its new training centre and workshop on March 13 with the aim of employing and training 100 mechanics over the next 5 years.

The new centre, near King’s Cross St Pancras, will help local residents to become qualified and skilled cycle mechanics and GetMoreBikes are currently recruiting their first apprentices from unemployed 16 to 24 year old local residents.
